This Privacy Policy explains how Veska Console processes personal data. The data controller is Doug Hammond, trading as lon.dev, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@lon.dev.

Who sells Veska Console

Purchases of Veska Console are sold and processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller of record and handles payment, billing, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment and billing details directly; we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy governs that processing.

What we collect and why

Licensing and activation. When you activate or validate the Software, our licensing service receives and stores:

  • your licence key and the edition/entitlements associated with it;
  • a one-way machine identifier (computed on your device; the underlying hardware value is never transmitted) used to bind activations to a device and to enforce seat limits;
  • the Software version;
  • the IP address and timestamps of activation and validation requests;
  • your email address and order reference, received from the Merchant of Record to link a purchase to a licence.

Legal bases (UK GDPR). We process the above to perform our contract with you (providing and validating your licence) and for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and unauthorised use and in supporting the product.

Support. If you contact support@lon.dev we process the contents of your message to respond.

Website. Our website is served as static pages. We do not set non-essential or tracking cookies and do not run third-party advertising or analytics. If this changes, this policy and a cookie notice will be updated before such tracking is enabled.

Who we share data with

  • Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record): payment and order processing.
  • Amazon Web Services: hosting of the licensing service.
  • Email provider: to send and receive support and licensing email.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep licensing records for as long as your licence is active and as needed for fraud prevention, support, and legal or tax record-keeping, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise them, email support@lon.dev. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk/.

Children

Veska Console is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
